Welcome to the O for own it microblog. This microblog is inspired by simple caring about the future of the internet itself. And with the hope that creators will consider creating their own assets like websites, blogs, apps, and podcasts. So creators of all kinds can host their content. In places where they are much more in control of their own destiny. And not having an algorithm in control their destiny.
When it comes to social media and creating content for the internet in general. For a lot of folks it is safe to say it is challenging. And after a while the word incentive comes into play. Finding the incentive becomes hard. Because folks will just start to ask the question. What is in it for me, my team, or company? Also, what happens at that point is they stop engaging all together. As the intensity when it comes to AI continues. It feels like we are a bit stuck. There are so many products being created to aid folks in content creation. But if the majority of people, teams, and companies create content that won't find its way to an audience. They will just stop. And that could be problematic for the companies creating AI software. If we don't find ways for people, teams, or companies to get known. It seems like a lot of the innovation we are seeing may not go anywhere. Because we are simply trying to solve the wrong problem. When it comes to AI. We will stay hopeful that humanity will thrive in the age of AI.
As we head forward in the age of AI and the 21st century. One of the biggest problems facing the world today is poverty. But it is not a subject you hear discussed much. And it is very rare to hear tech companies and businesses of all sizes address this problem. Poverty is a very complex issue. And it goes way beyond income. Other things to consider with poverty is the lack of clean water, sanitation, healthcare, and education. The lack of technology, WIFI, and broadband is also another heartbreaking reality that could hinder education and job placement. And in such a fascinating time in history when it comes to technology and AI. It is hard to imagine people not having access to technology. But not only is it happening. But the numbers are staggering. As the business world continues to consolidate and trim their workforce. It pains us to say people could be easily put in a position where they might be heading towards financial insecurity. Poverty is an intense problem. We have amazing tech tools at our fingertips in the 21st century. And now AI to aid us in our quest. Do you think it is possible to build technology products that could be beneficial to people experiencing poverty or some kind of financial insecurity? We feel the answer is yes!
When it comes to creators and the internet. What will the future look like? And let's face it, creators want to find ways to monetize. We started the O microblog to focus on ownership of what we are creating on the internet. With our blog we know that it is ours. It is simple. And we want to hopefully inspire others to consider this concept. The first thing we found really exciting was no hashtags. Blogging is really special. We feel the future of blogging is bright. And let's face it. The barriers of entry are pretty minimal. A laptop, tablet, or mobile phone will do the job. We are crossing our fingers for creators. And hoping the internet can be a place creators can find ways to monetize. With so much infatuation on massive wealth creation. We have forgotten that so many folks are just trying to make a livable income. One thing is we do not want to go backwards. If things like blogging and podcasting lose their appeal. It could send us backwards in time. And that would not be good. So we are heading forward with our blog. With no expectations. And that feels very positive and exciting.
As we enter into the age of AI. It is rare to hear any talk of job creation. You hear talk of AI agent work forces. But job creation is not discussed a lot for humans. And big tech companies and big businesses have been trimming their work forces for years. And that is tough. But it is just the reality of the current environment. Managing businesses is tough. And we understand the bottom line of the economics at play. But job creation still needs to happen. And at this time in history humanity can not look to these companies for job creation. Only to use their products and services which in some cases are amazing. And sometimes at our fingertips for free. And that is positive. So we have to stay focused and have our feet firmly planted in reality. So we feel an area to focus on is solopreneurs for this post. Think about this. For every solopreneur that goes out and creates that one job for themself. That frees up one job for someone else. So if 100,000 solopreneurs create a job for themself. They have now freed up 100,000 jobs in the marketplace for others to seek. Now think of a million solopreneurs and so on. So this is a powerful thought and vision. We have to start somewhere when it comes to job creation. We need to be creative. We need to find resources to help solopreneurs. And we need to recognize their success and realize that their hard work is helping out the overall workforce. We hope you like this post on job creation.
As AI chat tools continue to grow in popularity the amount of information available to us is staggering. Mountains of information for sure. This information could aid humanity in many positive ways. For example creating content quicker. And helping new businesses speed up the education process. So they may be able to launch quicker and scale faster. But there are some things that don't change. Like how content creators are going to promote themselves. And the same goes for new businesses. So, as we have mountains of information available to us. And it may help us to create faster. If creators and new businesses can not make it into the marketplace. Meaning they are stuck in obscurity. Mountains of information at that point is not solving a big problem. We are living in fascinating times. And these large language models are intense for sure. But to have a functioning economy. That serves a wide range of people and businesses of all sizes and shapes. We need to solve problems that enrich humanity.
It is pretty easy to see just by looking at job posts. That people want to work remotely. If you compare the amount of people who apply to a remote job. And a job that is on site. It is easy to see that the numbers are in and remote work wins. It seems that if early stage companies take a look at this. They could take advantage of this opportunity. And use it to their advantage.
It is not easy to explain but we are going to try. The feeling we get from creating this blog is exciting. And we did it in the hope to inspire. The only thing we can say is you have to try it. We went into it with no expectations. And continue with that mindset. We think that is really important. There is an overwhelming feeling of freedom. It feels like a garden and the flowers and plants we are planting are ours. And you know what? We are also having some fun. So, for now we are going to continue to write. Share our thoughts. With no expectations. And see where it leads.
We are living in very interesting times. With the advancement in AI moving quickly these days. The drum is beating for companies to do more with a smaller headcount. But what about just flipping the coin here. And doing more with more workers. As companies fall in line. And follow the pack. What if companies start to buck the trend and start intelligently hiring more workers. Using the workforce to create products and services that might compete with companies falling in line. There are many strategies when it comes to greatness. The status quo and following the pack has logically not been the path to greatness.
As we continue into 2025 we are still hearing about layoffs in the tech industry. The heartbreaking and hard part of hearing this news is that we need job creation so bad. The conversation needs to continue. If we dig deep. It seems job creation in the 21th century is going to come in unconventional ways. Which is really nothing new. So let us talk unconventionally. Think about this. Every person that branches out and creates a full time solo business. Leaves one job opening for someone else. It is really powerful. If there are ten people looking for a job. And five of those people create a solo business. Then that means only five people are now looking for a job. It is pretty simple. Anybody that goes out and creates a solo business, a micro enterprise, or small business. Is doing an important thing in relation to the future of work. We need entrepreneurs as we head forward in the 21st century.
So many of us are wired hard into the grind and the hustle. Surviving is hard. And requires a tough work ethic. Logic tells us that so many of us have many things going at once. And it is a grind! Making a living in this world is tough. We try to recognize when it's time for us to take some downtime. And we hope we can inspire you, your team, or even your company. We truly believe in empathy. And believe a lot of great things can happen with an empathetic mindset.
As we head forward in the 21st century. And enter into the age of AI. When it comes to humanity there are many questions and concerns. One area of concern is the job market. Which has been very volatile for years. And it is pretty safe to say the source of a lot of stress and heartache for large parts of the population globally. It is pretty simple: people need jobs to survive. The way we apply for jobs using software is no match for humanity. Applicant tracking systems (ATS) that receive applications have the ability to work 24 hours a day. And software in general has the ability to work 24/7. And as we add more automation into the process it is a concern. Let's face it. The machines don't sleep. But we as humans do. When it comes to applying for jobs. It is rare to find transparency. But it does exist. Most of the time. Job seekers do not know how many job seekers they are competing with. And that is hard. Heartbreaking might be another word. And as things get more automated the concern level gauge could be redlining. The road ahead for the job market seems very tough. We need a lot of founders globally to create businesses. And job creation needs to be in the conversation. It is going to take empathy for sure. As well as compassion. It is pretty safe to say for the most part. When people enter the job market it is serious. It is hard work. It is not fun and games. And it is time consuming. The last thing they need to be doing is playing a game with a machine.
There is a feeling a freedom when creating your own blog. For us it feels much different. No more hashtags. No more checking if likes came in. It is like a breath of fresh air. It feels rewarding. Not like some kind of merry-go-round. It simple feels really good. And we hope our little microblog may find its way to others.
There is just something about Print. If you find yourself in a bookstore in the magazine section. Looking at print magazines is really special. First, photography. Let's face it. It is just it's own thing. And the layout, typography, and graphic design aspects are so fun. Do you know the history of magazines dates back to the 17th century? And continued to evolve through the 18th, 19th, 20th, and now into the 21st century. The internet changed things for sure. But the experience of skimming, reading, and looking at photos in a magazine is still alive and well.
As we move forward in the 21st century. What will the future of work look like? The current landscape is very tough. And the last couple of years have been rocky for the tech sector to say the least. The noise around AI has been extremely loud. Companies in the tech sector again have been in the news lately for reducing their head count. Job creation from the tech sector is just not something we hear. So as we move forward in the 21st century. Looking to the tech sector for job creation does not look like something humanity can depend on. And AI startups are looking to create the most valuable companies possible. With a head count as small as possible. So job creation in the 21st century is going to have to come from another sector. So it looks like that sector will have to be micro enterprises, very small businesses, and small to mid sized businesses. Solopreneurs who create their own jobs will be extremely important as well. No matter what. We will need a lot startup founders globally. Who are completely aware that they are creating businesses that DO NOT fit into the venture capital model. And when we say a lot. We mean a lot. The wealth creation business model is not working for humanity. It is simple and we are seeing it play out right in front of us right now. Job creation needs to be a part of the narrative. New business models may need to be created. Job creation is not a simple thing. We will stay positive in relation to the future of work. And continue to share our thoughts.
What is happening with AI is amazing. In the span of a short time. We as humans have so much more information available to us. It can aid us in research, writing, and more. It can help content creators to be more productive. But how will creators fair when it comes to monetization? Creators will need to monetize to survive. And the companies that create AI software will need users to monetize as well. But there seems to be a disconnect. You rarely hear companies discussing this. There are so many AI software as a service companies coming online. But we have to ask the question: where is the money going to come from? How will users monetize? And how will these companies coming online sell their services? That is where there is a disconnect. It is so strange why it seems rare within the SaaS landscape to hear a discussion of monetization. Like the one we are discussing right now. Solo creators, micro enterprises, small startups, and small to mid size businesses need to do well in the marketplace. Monetization is so important for a healthy economy and an economically heathy world. We have mostly been focused on AI SaaS companies. But also think about all the other productivity SaaS companies. They are trying to sell their services as well. There are so many and again it is amazing. This might be a good time to bring up the word empathy. As the age of AI is upon us. We head into it with a glass half-full mindset. With a humanity first approach.
We spent so much time working on our social media over the years. Creating graphic design, art, video, and writing content. Like so many folks, creators, micro enterprises, startups, and small to mid sized companies we struggle. We know some make it work. Or have made it work. But that has not been the case for us. We keep at it. But just at an even pace. So we stay relevant. But creating this blog feels exciting. And this is our blog, our site, and our thing. We are heading into it with our eyes open. We have always been passionate about content creation. And the design aspect of it. So the time we spent on social media will not be lost. It is just time to move forward. Time to try and do our own thing. And we hope we will inspire builders and creators of all kinds with O.
It has been a long day and creators are used to long days. The nice thing about creating your own blog is you, your team, or company are not restricted. We can make this blog post as long or short as we want. And that is the whole point. That is why we decided to go forward with this idea. We hope to inspire creators of all kinds to take the leap.
Trying to navigate what is happening with AI is top of mind for a lot of us. It is a very interesting time in history. We are crossing our fingers for humanity going forward. And we hope AI will provide economic wealth for humanity. Not just massive wealth for a very small amount of people.
Technology has definitely solved some problems so far. Communication being one very big one. And a lot more. But as we move forward in the 21st century. We have some really big problems that we need to address and try to solve. Poverty and income inequality is one very big problem. And also staying focused on taking care of this beautiful planet we are so lucky to live on. We have to at least try to consider building technology and companies that are focused on wealth creation and job creation for the mass. This might require creating new business models as we continue forward in the 21st century.
The history of blogging is really cool. And so fun to dive in too. Going back into the early 90's and moving through decades we find ourselves here in 2025. If you, your team, or company might be interested in diving in. It is a rich and fun history. And you may find it to be exciting. Like a book you just can't put down. Also, you may want to stay tuned. Because we believe blogging is still in the beginning of the first inning. Stay tuned!
